The recent forced update to the multi-column tile/grid view makes it incredibly difficult to read page titles on narrow smartphone screens, as it heavily truncates text to just a few characters. Additionally, many users find the vertical stack/list view much more intuitive to scroll through one-handed and less prone to accidental closures when using native Android gesture controls.

Standard Opera for Android already features a toggle button to cycle between Grid, List, and Carousel views—Opera GX mobile users would greatly benefit from the same visual customization and accessibility.
